Do you take insurance?
Unfortunately, we do not as of yet. However, we are cleared by the IRS to accept HSA and FSA cards as we fall under the health and wellness umbrella.
How long does IV therapy take?
Typically, IV therapy takes about 60 minutes start to finish when receiving a full liter. Half liter bags take about 30 minutes.Wellness injections take about 15 minutes.
Why not just take oral vitamins?
IV hydration and nutrients are 100% absorbed by the body and are quickly effective at hydrating and nourishing your body than simply drinking water and taking vitamins by mouth. Only about 40% of any supplement taken orally is digested.
Is this safe?
Yes, we use an aseptic technique just like in the hospital setting. Our supplies are kept in their sterile packaging until we are ready to use them for your service. Nurse Jess is has advanced training in sterile technique as she has over 10 years of Surgical experience.
When will I feel the benefits from the IV?
Most people notice maximum benefits in about 12 hours but may notice positive changes by the time the IV is finished infusing.
What ages do you work with?
Typically, ages 14-80. All pediatric clients (14-17) need to be of adult weight and height and have a separate consent form signed by parent/legal guardian.
Does the needle stay in my arm?
No, we retract the needle once we gain access to your vein. A small plastic catheter stays in place for the infusion. We then remove at the end.
How are you able to do what you do?
Nurse Jess is a licensed RN and this service is within her scope of practice. We work closely with our Medical Directorship who provide us with standing orders to perform IV services and are available to us at any time if we have questions or concerns. Nurse Jess also works closely with her Nurse Practioner to make sure each individual client receives the best care possible.
Do you do house calls or travel?
Nurse Jess tries to see all her clients at her location. However, we understand that there will be times a client is too sick to leave home. Nurse Jess will travel locally in Gilroy and Morgan Hill free of charge to provide IV therapy only. There will be a $35 travel fee for any other city. Minimum booking fee of $150 for house calls.
